Please note that we also carry a gate to post version of the electric lock.
Lock 81 is a completely automatic electric gate lock, used to ensure there is no strain or movement on the gate or the gate motor whether from wind loading or attempted forced entries. It is also recommended to be used when approaching the gate motors width capacity. It is wired back to the control board with figure 8 flex (two wires). In case of a power outage if a battery backup is installed the electric lock will continue to operate with the gate system as per normal. If no battery backup is installed the electric lock has an over ride cylinder (supplied with three keys) to allow the manual release of the gate lock.
Supplied with a ground latching plate this is generally installed on top of the center driveway stop where the lock tongue will latch into it.
In a case where the second gate to open does not have a tab/lip or rebate on the front side an additional electric lock could also be installed if necessary as CAME control boards allow for two separate lock control connections, Note: An additional cable is run to the second electric lock also.
The supplied backing plate allows for an easier fixing to gates providing an adequate and stable mounting area, also doubling as a protection plate for the cable entry side of the lock. In the case of narrow tubing gates the plate could be welded if necessary to the gate tube.
Cable options include a 3m, 5m or 10m. Alternatively you can supply your own.
