Top Guide System Options

Multiple options available to choose from based on two factors:

1. Protrusions above the gate such as spears.

2. Gates total thickness including any cladding material if applicable.

The 210mm Longer overhead bracket allows for a full adjustment up to maximum total gate thickness of 115mm. This is typically the go to in most cases when using an overhead bracket and roller arrangement as it allows for all standard gate thickness and also surface mounted horizontally clad gates or gates that need a larger set back away from the post. It is constructed of DUAL C channels providing the best rigidity and with no flex under load.

Independent Rollers

independent rollers and brackets
Typically (but not exclusively) used with spear design gates, a guide roller on each side (inside support post also required) WITHOUT the need of an overhead bracket allows for any protrusion above the gate frame to run through without an issue as the rollers contact each side of the gate frame, it does however require the gate to operate on a level grade, if not see the C channel section option with Nylon Block.

Gate Catcher/Receiver Meeting Point

Multiple options available to choose from based on the gates total thickness including and cladding material if applicable. It is recommended to use a gate catcher that is 10mm greater than the gate thickness.

50mm Catcher Option

50mm gate catcher with Anti-Lift top cap

50mm Catcher is used with gates not exceeding 40mm (typically 40×40 tubing gates)

60mm Catcher Option (with Anti-Lift Top Cap)

60mm gate catcher with Anti-Lift top cap
60mm Catcher is used with gates not exceeding 50mm (typically 50×50 tubing gates). It has a top cap to prevent the gate from being lifted when in the closed position.

80mm Catcher Option (with Anti-Lift Top Cap)

80mm gate catcher with Anti-Lift top cap

80mm Catcher is used with gates not exceeding 70mm (typically externally face cladded gates). It has a top cap to prevent the gate from being lifted when in the closed position.

55-90mm Adjustable Catcher Option

55-90mm adjustable gate catcher
55-90mm Adjustable entry catcher, suitable for gates from 40mm to 80mm total thickness requiring a roller entry point due to wind loading or otherwise). Highly effective option for cladded gates prone to wind loading.

55-90mm Adjustable Catcher Option + OFFSET bracket (with Anti-Lift Top Cap)

55-90mm adjustable gate catcher with Anti-Lift top cap and adjustable offset bracket
55-90mm Adjustable entry catcher, suitable for gates from 40mm to 80mm total thickness requiring a roller entry point due to wind loading or otherwise). Highly effective option for cladded gates prone to wind loading. The key additional feature of this catcher is the ability to adjust its alignment with the offset bracket making it perfect for when the posts side face does not align with the gate.

Turning Sliding Gate Track Wheels

360 degree turning wheel for sliding gate around the corner

Specially designed for turning sliding gates these R10 groove wheels are capable of full 360 Degree rotations offering th smoothest movemnt possible with dual bearings in the wheel and an additional bearing at the swivel point. The wheels can be welded directly to the bottom of gate (raises the gate by 110mm) or can be countersunk and welded (raises the gate by 90mm).

Sliding Gate Ground/Floor Track

The sliding gate ground track is formed from galvanized steel to the R10 profile, this profile is proven to be the smoothest operation for the gate wheels without any negative characteristics like the older v groove designs.

The track is secured to the driveway using plugs and screws or knock in’s such as anchor nails, its important to use a fixing that does not protrude greater than 3-4mm to prevent contact with the gate wheels.

Gate Stopper

Sliding gate stop

The gate stopper is a crucial part to any sliding gate installation, the stop is installed at the end of the open position to prevent the gate from being opened past the normal open point which prevents the sliding gate from coming off the track (or out of the top guiding system.
